Ella's Fancy Shoe Second Birthday!

Ella's second birthday was a great time- It was complete with all the cousins, sister hugs, tutu's and fancy shoes :)

For Ella's birthday Yaya and Papa Moe came in from Michagan. They got the girls lots of presents- including some matching outfits <3!

Ella's cake was so pretty thanks to Daddy who spent hours painting and sculpting it
Our house was full- just the way we like it- lots of kids and presents and family fun!
Ella is actually sitting on a step stool that she got for reaching the sink- but you can't tell because of her new tu tu that cousin Sydney so creatively made her out of a belt
Thanks for staying up late and doing the cake for us Dad!
Zoe of course was having a great time too- She watched as all the kids played and had a huge smile to share with everyone
Ella was speachless over many of her new toys- She had a permanent smile when she got in her new wagon from Babcia
Beautiful cake
These are Joe's "fancy" shoes- We wanted to get pictures of all the fancy shoes- but we forgot-
Maybe next time-

Zoe is 5 months old

So my littlest one is now a 5 month old!
She eats baby food and can almost sit up- She is very into her toys and her big sister can always make her smile-
It is really fun to see how Ella and Zoe interact- I think that they are going to have a lot of fun growing up together and causing trouble
Zoe now weighs 15 lbs! She is just the most smiley baby in the world and it looks like she is keeping those curls :)

We did find out this week that Zoe does have laryngomalacia. This is why she seems to squeak when she breaths. We took her to a specialist who put a small camera down her nose and took a look in her throat. It looks like the flaps of cartilage above her voice box are not very rigid. What happens is that when Zoe breaths in the flaps fold in and cause her some trouble breathing. Its not actually as scary as it sound- and she will grow out of it by the time she is two. The only time it will be an issue is if she gets a cold -
In the mean time- my plan is to just snuggle her and love her little squeaks-

Labor Day

Well- I'm late putting some of this stuff up- but we did do a lot over labor day- It was a great long weekend- and we even got to fit in one more week of walking to church-
After church on Sunday we took the kids to a rodeo- which happened to have some chickens there:)
I don't have many good pictures of the rodeo- mainly because all the events happened so fast. Here is a picture of one of the guys
about to jump on a bull. The whole thing started out kinda slow and ella and zoe were cold and a bit bored- but then the first guy that rode a bucking horse- was thrown off and hit the fence right in front of us. They even had to call the medics out to come get him-
They had a baby buffalo there too- and if you look above it there is a guy getting ready to jump on a bull- he looks like he is about to be a hockey goalie with all that gear on

We also went to Becker Farms in Gasport over the holiday- after feeding the goats every animal we saw Ella called a goat- but she is two so whatever right?
We did get a ton of apples- Ella helped get all the good ones at the top- and then Zoe helped carry them all back to the car with her buggy- I have such hard working kids :)

We also made Ella help push Zoe through some of the harder to push places-
We even rode a saw horse- which is just fine for us because after seeing the rodeo horses- I think we will wait till next year to try the real thing.

Zoe is chowing down

We have had so much going on in the last week! The big news is that Zoe is ready for food!and she actually seems to like it- Ella made many angry faces about food before she came to love it-
You can see from the picture that Zoe still isn't sure how to go about eating just yet- but we are trying our best and she is happy whenever she sees the spoon :)
I also made an attempt to get some pictures of my girls today- I let Ella hold Zoe for the first time- but it turns out, Ella doesn't like sharing her seat. The only way I could keep them close for a picture was to have Ella give Zoe a kiss. Zoe looks worried in this picture- I was worried too.

Ella and Zoe also got a sandbox this week and 2 power-wheel toys! I am having a hard time teaching Ella to drive- she loves just siting in it- the fact that it moves is completely over shadowed to her by the working horn!
And it took us 3 days- but the livingroom is no longer yellow! I could not be more thrilled about it!
We tried to take down the built in entertainment center- but not only did the old owners hammer, nail and bracket it to the wall- ya they glued it too- This thing was built to last through Armageddon. - so we painted the back of it to camouflage it. We will have to take the wall out to get rid of it- so in the mean time...

I think it all looks so much better-

I also turned a year older last week! Aunt Nancy got me this pretty cake- and for some reason assaulted my husband...whatever- I guess its a trade off.

Zoe at 4 months!

So this is a pic of Ella at just about 4 monthsHere is Zoe at 4 months...
I'm seeing a bit of ella in Zoe- and yes that is my foot in that picture <3
Four Months is really exciting- she can roll over and play with toys more. Ella is having fun playing with her more and more-
Zoe is mostly sleeping at night- which is great for me!
Ella, of course, has to do everything Zoe does- We couldn't find her yesterday- and here she was- just like Zoe does...

and this week I reupholstered my first object! It was our new to us yucky orange rocking chair.
Before
After!
I cut up our old curtains to do it- and for my first time its not so bad-

Party at our place!

Well - We have been super busy since I opened the new practice-It has been really fun and things are going really well-

In the mean time- the kids are having fun doing kid stuff- here is ella having a tea party for her princesses-Joe and I are having a party Friday night- right after my root canal (sad)- He got the screen up and hooked up some games the other night. Our neighbors came out and cars stoped to see what we were doing.- It was pretty cool- And while I was trying to get some work done...and not on face book...ella colored our new couch with oil pastels. It was so bad I had to laugh. Luckily mommy has the cleaning skills of a cheetah- and since cheetahs don't clean- you can still see some of the green and purples on there...

Happenings

Well I know its way after the fact- but the fourth of July was really fun. We spent the day before with cousins playing dress up and watching the Lockport parade. Ella just loved every minute of this holiday- She danced and sang, got candy and stayed up later then ever!

Zoe on the other hand- wasn't super happy about being out all night and hearing very loud noises- I think I made it up to her in extra cuddles though :) On the actual 4th- we went to the Gasport ravine- I figured it was a good place to be since I started working there this week. The fireworks were fantastic- it was such a big display that you had to look away sometimes because it was so bright- really cool :)
All of Joe's family showed up on the 5th. We had a few big parties at our house- Doug and Sabrina got married, Grandma Luckman turned 75 and it was kind of a house warming party too- so it was a lot of stuff to celebrate all in one day-
Everyone brought gifts from home- our favorite was this bird house lamp - I'm not sure why but I really really love it- its weird, its birdhouses and a lamp- how much cooler could it get?
We also had a party for the Gretchen Wilson concert that was here on Friday- We had a full house for that too- it was really fun- I love having people over to our new house- its so big and good for mingling-

I've been at my new job a week now- my only patients have been family (thanks mom!). I'm trying to do a lot of marketing - I have a radio remote tomorrow -
I love the job and the people- I think this is going to be a good thing for us <3
