Zoe is 1!

I know this post is way late- but here are Zoe's pictures from her first birthday pool party!!
Dad got a new camera and I wasn't sure how to get the photos- but here they are!
We had a pool party at the Lockport YMCA. All the kids had a lot of fun. Ella and Zoe especially love to swim :)

So here are Zoe's stats- She is 30 inches tall (75% for girls) and weighs 18.5 lbs (25%) and her head is 18 inch around (60%). Zoe has been walking since 3 days before her birthday, she talks a little and bites a lot :). Ella and Zoe are good friends most of the time. Ella weighs 31 lbs and is 37.5 inches tall as of 4/28/11.
This is our last blog post- its been fun :) See you again if there is ever a Mahley baby #3!

Maple Weekend

It was maple weekend a few weeks ago here in WNY. We went to Wolf farm out sort of near our house. It was really fun. We had all sorts of maple covered treats. The best was probably the maple ice cream, but we also had maple boiled hot dogs that were a fun change of pace.
We rode on their train that gave us a tour of the whole maple making process. It was neat- but it was freezing and it seemed like a lot of work for some syrup.
Ella and Zoe really liked all the animals that were there. Ella even touched a turkey! The best part for Ella was the bunnies. That was the one thing that she didn't want to leave.

How big is Zoe?

Wow the chicklets are getting big! Ella has hit a mile stone and she has started potty training.
Here is a picture of us leaving to go on a special shopping trip to get her first pairs of underwear!
She picked out Minnie Mouse and Dora :)

Here she is looking at the packages while eating a Cadbury egg...good stuff!
Zoe is on her way to being a big girl too. She will be one in just a few weeks. Here is a picture of what goes on while Daddy is in charge and mommy is at work!
Eating big girl food
Love the head band <3
Zoe and her other best friend
Such a cutie pie! She is still just a little peanut- she can stand on her own, clap, say momma and dadda, dance, and takes a few steps when we hold her hands. I don't think she will be walking any time soon- she gets sad when we make her walk. I think she will stick to crawling for now :)

Joe is 30!

Joe just turned 30 on February 16th. He is offically an old man :)
However- to prove me wrong- he did have me take a picture of him doing some push-ups with Ella on his back. Such a tough and strong daddy!

I made Joe a cake the day of his birthday- it was super yummy. I think Ella loved the cake the most. Joe also got a bunch of balloons, a special dinner, flowers, chocolate and a very nice professional easel. I think he had a great day.
We had a family party too- Everyone came over- we had way too much food-and a lot of fun-

Busy

Well- I haven't written in a few weeks because we have been crazy busy.
Joe started a new business called East Avenue Art. The girls are back in swimming lessons. I'm teaching again and now writing articles for even more online magazines. Zoe has been sick for the past week. So she has been keeping us busy. She showed us this week that she can walk when holding on to a car. That was kinda surprising :) She is now 9 and a half months old and weighs 18lbs and her height if off the charts according to the doctor. Ella weighs just under 30 lbs at 28 months old.

Here are some swimming pictures with Babcia. The girls just love the water- Aren't they so cute in there little suits at the locker room? Such big girls:)
We also went to Disney on ice this week. Ella was star struck. Zoe was dancing to all the music. They both loved it.
Took the girls to Pano's after. Ella made herself at home...didn't even keep her socks on.

We saw this enormous snowman on the way home from a winery opening we went to in Newfane.

We just had to stop :)

New Years!

Happy New Years everyone! I'm writing this a few days late- but I hope you all had as fun a new years as we did.
We are starting out this year with Ella being 2 years and 3 months old and weighing 30 lbs, and Zoe being 8 and a half months old and weighing 18lbs. These girls are getting so big!
We went to a party that was about an hours drive away. It was a kid friendly party-with a DJ and a bounce house and lots of yummy food.
Uncle Jake got Joe to dance in the YMCA and then Jake wussed out on him. Joe still did the dance with a lot of enthusiasm.
Don't tell anyone that Ella wore boots in the bounce house...
Zoe had a lot of rolls to chew on :)

Zoe and Seth had a good time hanging out together- they are buds - they sat on the dance floor for a bit and watched the lights- rode some toys, ate- ya know baby stuff :)

Christmas 2010

We did so much for Christmas this year! So many parties and seeing Santa- it was a bit overwhelming, but we survived :)
Here is a picture of Ella reading her dinosaur book- its actually an encyclopedia- but she loves it- she always has it out and pretends to read the book and talk about the green ones-
Here are most of the grandkids at Heather and Jakes house. We had a gingerbread making contest and sang carols around the piano. Santa even showed up with some pre-Christmas presents!
Santa even came to the girls swimming lessons this year. The girls must have been really good this year to have had Santa visit them two times.
Zoe started crawling and standing just recently- she was very excited about being able to get the tree! Here is Ella giving her a hug :)

The girls had very pretty Christmas dresses this year- They looked like little angles!
Ella's biggest present this year was her drums. Here she is showing Grandpa how its done!
