And Ella Helped!

On Sunday we had a bunch of fun. Ella got dressed up in one of her prettiest dresses for church- she even got to wear her new boots that have fur on them. She was super cute. When we came home, Joe went and did his homework- So Ella and I thought it would be fun to carve one of our pumpkins!

It was slimy, gross and cold. Ella loved it!. What was really funny was that Ella wanted to put stuff in the pumpkin instead of taking stuff out.

That was a problem when Uncle Ben called and I couldn't find the phone- it was a good 5 mins before I found it all slimy and in the pumpkin.

We carved Ella's name and some stars on her pumpkin. The pumpkin is so big that you can't read her name from just one angle- oh well

After all of her hard work, Ella fell asleep on the floor while trying to crawl into the living room.
Good Day!

Visit to the ROM

This week I went with my mom and dad to Toronto to see the dead sea scrolls at the Royal Ontario Museum. It was pretty cool- but the pieces of the scrolls were super small. Its kinda crazy to think that its someones job to put all those little scraps together and then try to read the microscopic writing.

The ROM is actually a huge place so we also went to see some china that mom was into and the 10 commandments. For Ella, we got to meet some dinosaurs. She looks relatively unimpressed in these pictures- but I think she was just taking it all in- that and wishing she could touch stuff and walk around.

Honestly her favorite part was probably watching people come out of the elevators and giggling at them...

It was a long trip there and back.

The ride was pretty boring- lots of traffic. Part of the conversation in the car was about how my parents think Obama is going to take away all our toilet paper by 2011. I laughed at them at first- and found this link when I got home- If Obama really wanted to cut down on toilet paper use, he should crack down on the Metamucil and probiotic yogurt industry- those commercials freak me out anyway.

At the gift shop we found a "o-snap" trash bin- someday when I have money, I'll have to get a bunch for my "Oh Snap" office.

The best part of this week was that on Thursday- Ella finally walked! This video is actually about the third time she took steps- but its one of the first times joe had ever seen it.

Long weekend

This weekend we celebrated my big brothers 30th birthday- It was a fun time of hanging out with family and good food.

Since we had some extra time this weekend- Joe and I put together Ella's super awesome dresser. Ben got it for her- and I could not be happier about it. We finally have a place to put all her stuff- sometimes I think she has more stuff then I do...

We also had a lot of time to play cooking- Ella will mixup pots for almost an hour at a time.

We also went and picked out some pumpkins-It was cold, but we had fun. We even bought a white one that we are going to paint something cool on.

I'm excited for Ella to take her first big handful of pumpkin goo- I'm sure she will make a great face- and then try to eat it...
